19th September

So pissed off today, everything is shit, nothing is going right 😞 Still no resolution to guideposts being closed, social worker is useless-only working on a Thursday and rings me when I'm at work?? Only possible alternative is treble the cost of guideposts so have requested more direct payments, doubt I'll get them tho... I've also blown up the Hoover by running the lead over so have had to take out a warranty upgrade to get a new one. Chloe has fallen out with the one friend she has at school, she has been in tears and upset, walking home alone. I asked if Chloe had a good day, she said yes then when I asked her about the day she said she was on her own at lunchtime, speaking to no one-I asked why she said she'd had a good day, her response was "she didn't want me to fuss"😢😢😢 Diane reassured me this is normal, girls are bitchy and they make up but really worried that she's unhappy. Work is shit, expecting me to do shed loads of paperwork outside of my 31 hours-so fed up 😞 And I feel like crap, cold, headache and cough.... Hannah is having regular meltdowns and I'm the usually target/punchbag, really stroppy about getting dressed for school.....

Interview etc....

Well, I attended my interview yesterday, after much deliberating both before leaving the house and whilst waiting to go into the interview room!! I was worried about EVERYTHING, that I would be stumped for answers to the most simple questions, whether I could squeeze into my trousers (whether they'd judge me for my weight) and everything else you can possibly imagine! BUT, it went really quite well, the panel were lovely and friendly, and put me at my ease, and rephrased questions and gave me time when I needed it. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn the roles were not all classroom based-in fact the roles sound similar to Map-but lots more Team work and no lone working-so fingers crossed I get a post! On the home front, after more than a week without a Hoover, the house is a state!! New hoover bought today-not really the one I wanted but it will do! I hopefully have a day free tomorrow as Chloe and Hannah are going to Cotswold Wildlife Park with Guideposts-though Chloe has complained about feeling a bit dodgy this evening-please god it doesn't turn into anything!! On the Guideposts front, its been confirmed that the Afterschool club and Holiday activity club is not returning to Abingdon-gutted-to say the least. Yesterday, before my interview, I was very upset when my "Nemesis" from Kingfisher made a negative comment which I'm sure was aimed at me-BITCH!! But, didn't rise to it-and so I didn't stoop to her pathetic level. Looking at different options for Hannah for ASC, including Tom and Ed's with 1-1 support, but not sure that will be right for Hannah.

Hannah Progress

I'm really happy with Hannah's progress with learning letters of the alphabet-which is down to her fantastic school. Hannah knows the letters, A, H, I, L, M, R, S, T, W, X, Y and Z!! T is her favourite, she presses the T button on her toy that spells out train all the time, that and Ice cream-she mouths/says the letters along with the toy...such a clever girl....

In Laws BS

I was, as usual, irritated and annoyed by by In-Laws, who we saw recently in Blackpool. My step-mother in law (from now on referred to as J) seemed to very limited knowledge of me and my girls-she was surprised to hear that Chloe was gong up to Secondary school in September (even tho she almost certainly sent and signed the 11th birthday card from the week before) and she was unaware that I work Term-time-I've been in the same job for 3 years!? She did, however, have ample info on the child and family who were successful in their appeal to get into a primary school-where one of her "favoured" grandchild is trying to get in. This family have a disabled child and this seems to be the main reason that the sibling was given priority-well, disabled kids and their famlies DO GET ALL THE BREAKS, don't they?? In one short conversation she also slated a working Mother (albeit not a nice person) who is also a Cancer survivor-J really is on a roll.......

Family Facebook bullshit

I noticed that one of my Cousins from Liverpool has not only deleted me from her facebook friend list-she has blocked me?! Can't figure out what my "crime" was but it seemed to have occured sometime after the 2nd August 2014 when she "liked" a photo of mine and the 4th August 2014 when I last corrosponded with her-won't say I'm not pissed off and upset, but more confused than anything-just seems very childish of someone in their 60s to act so childishly.... Oh well, fuck her......

Guinea Pigs, Interview, Bad Back and Being Fat!

Well, today was THE day when Chloe collected her Guinea piggies from Tewkesbury-long way to go but a FB friend recommended this lady who rescues them and they were a bargain price of £20 including cage. One is Ginger and the other is a Silver/grey colour and white-Chloe has called them Bibble and Button?! They're quite shy at the moment so we're not handling them until they've settled in. I have an interview at Abingdon and Witney College on Wednesday-same place where I'm based now but actually working for the College not MacIntyre-difference is that it will be more able/mainstream type students and I assume it will entirely classroom based. I dispise interviews but I thought I'd give it a go-and if the money is better I will consider it-I think the holidays will be better-may even be able to drop to 3 days which would be fantastic!! My back is still shit, I stiffen up when I've been in one position for just a short time and walk like an old granny of 80, but Doctors always treat me like a Hypercondriac and palm me off with painkillers, when I want to know what is causing it! My weight is really getting me down, not been this fat since I was pregnant-feel huge, like a big fat Heifer :( Exercising is really hard when my back is bad and since Guideposts has been shut by Ofsted I don't even get my days respite anymore.....

Long time since last post......

Hannah was just starting to potty train the last time I posted-that was back in early 2011, its now 10th August 2014 and Hannah has been clean and dry, day and night since April 2011!! Alot has gone on since early 2011, we had only recently lost Harvey/got Harley back then, Harley is now an established pain in the arse-opps I mean member of the famly! Tabby was put to sleep in July 2012, at the age of 18 years 9 months, Bagheera was knocked over and killed in March 2014 and so now we have Millie (from Jane at Algenon Trust who we fostered with Oscar) and Sara from Romania. I've been with the same Employer since May 2011-I enjoy the work mostly (supporting young people with Autism/Learning disabilities) but there are lots of things I don't like about the organisation so I'm always on the look out for another term time role over 4 days in Abingdon-in fact I have an interview at Abingdon and Witney College on the 20th August! Lots of other things have happened since early 2011, not just the above-but can't fill you in on everything on my first post in 3 years, so you'll have to be patient! We've just back from a week in Blackpool,at the Daisy Chain project which was a nice break from the usual crap at home but always nice to get home too! Waiting to hear back from Guideposts to see if Hannah and Chloe can go to the Wheatley scheme, after the local Abingdon scheme was shut down by Ofsted-I initially said no to this option so might have missed out now....
